AMSS CMV: a new CITA member

It has the leading role in the sector. The association expects to largely benefit from the active membership in CITA by exchanging of relevant best practices, experiences and information as regards vehicle inspection and the development of relevant management systems.

AllianceLogoCita is proud to be part of the Global Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety. This collection of nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) implements programs and lobby for road safety initiatives around the world. Its members are often set up by everyday citizens responding to needs they see around them. Those NGOs can fill government gaps by providing immediate solutions, or they can influence decision making through advocacy and education. IMCO-Committee meeting: Approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles.

The IMCO (Internal Market and Consumer Protection) committee had a public discussion on the Commission's proposal on a Regulation on approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles.  The rapporteur of the dossier Mr. Danial Dalton (MEP) as well as several shadow rapporteurs and Mrs Johanna Szychowska (EC) stated their opinion. The results of the 10th CITA RAG AA meeting

President of Kotsa, PhD Mr Young Tae OhSEOUL, KOREA (25th - 26th May 2016). The 10th CITA RAG Asia/Australasia meeting has been hosted by KOTSA in Seoul with the theme ‘New Inspection Schemes’. Korea Transportation Safety Authority has been working for the development of transportation safety management by reducing traffic accident rates in the road, railway, and aviation. Thanks to vehicle safety research, transportation safety investigation research, and advanced transportation information system it aims at developing a sustainable future of transportation. (more…)

The UN General Assembly resolution on “Improving global road safety”

resolution(15th April 2016) Acting without a vote, the UN General Assembly and its Member States adopted a resolution on "Improving global road safety"(document A/70/L.44) expressing concern that road traffic crashes killed more than 1.25 million people and injured as many as 50 million people a year. This wide-ranging and detailed resolution calls on the international community to support the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals agenda on road safety as well as the Decade of Action for Road Safety.
