“Para una moviliad segura, sostenible y saludable”

On October 26th and 27th, CITA, represented by Mr. Wilhelm Ponciano, was present in Panama for an important series of activities related to the vehicle overhaul in the context of the week entitled: “PARA UNA MOVILIAD SEGURA, SOSTENIBLE Y SALUDABLE” (FOR A SAFE, SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY MOBILITY).

In the context of the collaboration of the IDB, the Symposium was organized by the Transit and Land Transportation Authority of Panama. In Panama a basic vehicle inspection is carried out with outsourced workshops, not very technical and without further standardization. The vehicle fleet, given its economic conditions, is in good condition, above the Latin American average.

On Wednesday 26 October, entitled “Safer Motorcycles” a presentation was shown as part of the technical inspection of this type of vehicle. In addition, the presentation “Safer vehicles” was presented on Thursday 27 October, as part of the technical inspection and its general agreement.

Additionally, meetings were held with different people, socializing the importance of the technical inspection of vehicles as a sustainable process and its positive impact on road safety, pollution and other aspects.
