The impact of emerging technologies on the transport system
Research4Committees recently released a research for EU TRAN Committee that provides an overview of the impact of Smart Mobility and their underlying emerging technologies on transport, the transport infrastructure and society.
This study provides an overview of the most relevant applications and their underlying emerging technologies for all different transport modes (with a focus on road transport) for the period up to 2030. Their impacts on the transport sector, transport infrastructure and society are assessed. Additionally, the main challenges for their development and deployment are identified and actions that could be taken by the various stakeholders to address these challenges are discussed.
