The Roadworthiness Package: Road Safety and Environmental Protection in the EU

March 19 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

đź“… 19 March 2026
📍 EU Parliament’s Info Hub, Esplanade Solidarność 1980, Rue Wiertz 60 Brussels
🕙 10:00 – 12:30 CET

This event is organized by CITA Under the auspices of the Cyprus Presidency of the EU.

The discussion will explore how vehicle compliance mechanisms, including recall campaigns and periodic roadworthiness testing, can more effectively ensure that vehicles in circulation continue to meet EU safety and environmental requirements throughout their operational lifetime.

The event is directly relevant to the work of EU institutions and committees involved in implementation, compliance monitoring, and assessment of real-world impacts of EU vehicle legislation. In the context of the European Parliament’s ongoing examination of the Roadworthiness Package, the event aims to contribute to parliamentary deliberations by addressing the enforcement dimension, with a particular focus on road safety and environmental compliance.

A lunch will be served after the meeting.

This is an in-person only event with limited seating!

Important note: In the spirit of consideration and to maximize participation, we kindly request that if you are unable to attend after registering, please inform us promptly. This will allow us to extend the invitation to other members who may be waiting for an opportunity to join.
