He studied Information Science at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He started his career in the automotive industry as an organizational consultant for car companies in sales\, maintenance and repair at Innovam. After that he worked at BOVAG as a research manager\, was secretary at various dealer associations\, manager of the Institute for Sustainable Mobility\, co-initiator of the Association for Electric Drivers and Mobility Broker for the Arnhem Nijmegen Region. Arno has carried out various projects related to the repair & maintenance of ADAS\, the future of the automotive industry and the use of intelligent mobility. DESCRIPTION:Our webinar entitled: “New Approaches to Vehicle Emissions Inspections – pt 2” will take place Wednesday\, 30 June 2021 at 02:00 pm CEST on zoom platform.\n \nIn this second webinar on the 3DATX sponsored PTI Trial\, the vehicle emissions database is expanded to over 160 vehicles\, a four-fold increase since the first webinar in February 2021. \nThis update will include: \n\nProposed enhanced PTI test protocol for gaseous and particulate emissions from gasoline and diesel fueled vehicles\, where emissions tests are completed in 70% less time compared to the protocol presented in the first webinar.\nPreliminary threshold for nitrogen oxides (NOx as NO + NO2) emissions to identify malfunctioning or tampered emissions aftertreatment devices. Three variants of emissions thresholds are proposed – normal idle\, stationary high RPM\, and short driving acceleration – to satisfy the compliance targets and restrictions per country.\nComparison of carbon monoxide (CO) and particle number (PN) from the enhanced PTI protocol to the current PTI based CO and smoke opacity\, respectively\n\nTo participate please fill in THIS FORM\n\nOnly registered participants will receive instructions on how to connect at the event.\n\nThe final program of the event will be available shortly.
